Council marks anniversary of February revolution in Ibb

The council of the revolutionary youth marked the 3rd anniversary of the 11th February revolution in Ibb province with presence of the general coordinator of the council Tawakkol Karman and members of the high coordination committee.

Karman delivered a speech to the female and male revolutionaries, saying Ibb was one of the first provinces to revolt against corrupt officials and power dignitaries, reminding them of their struggle of the sons of Al-Jaashin area to defend their rights and properties.

She chanted slogans calling for eradicating corruption and starting a new area of radical reforms, saying,: "Stolen public funds should be restored now. Now means now. Now we demand the release of all prisoners and finalizing the restructuring of the armed forces".

Moreover, she called on the transitional government to respond immediately to all demands including the 19 points announced by the council recently, most important of which are to hold trials for those involved in crimes during the February revolution and redress the martyrs and the wounded.

She urged all revolutionaries to continue their fight against nepotism and corruption networks because such a fight is their next objective in order to build a civil state for which they took to the streets and sacrificed a lot.

Songs were performed and poems delivered in the celebration including a song that was composed by composer Ahmed Fathi.
